In England the awesome soccer player David Beckham has made a new contract. This is his chance to become a member of the Los Angeles Galaxy Soccer Team in the United States.

In England, David Beckham is a superstar. He was the captain of England’s soccer team during the 2006 World Cup. Everybody loves him! This is the reason why L.A. wanted him. Now after the word of his departure got out, every soccer fan in England is upset.

But across the Atlantic, the U.S.A. is celebrating that David’s movement is confirmed! David says that the U.S.A. is his and his wife’s favorite place to be.

Today is the day of the most magnificent David Beckham’s arrival in L.A. On Thursday, July 12, 2007 he arrived at the airport with only his wife, Victoria by his side, making them a television phenomenon.

On the same day Victoria’s show “Moving To America” aired. Weeks before television shows were in progress, commercials marking David’s excellence and the day he arrives were showing.

While everyone thought that this was all glamorous for David, while boarding his flight to Los Angeles, the new England soccer coach, Steve Mclaren, called to say, “There are going to be some casualties along the way and unfortunately you’re one of them.” He meant that fabulous David Beckham just got dropped from the England soccer squad. While he was sad, David was also shocked.

As soon as David arrived in L.A. he had just 8 days to prepare for his exhibition match against Chelsea on 7-21-07. Although sadly he had lost to Chelsea, he still made a start as an L.A. Galaxy player. He also became part of the soccer England team again. He is now playing on both teams.

On August 31, 2007, crowds were mad, teammates were mad, and adoring fans were mad. Did all of these people have anger issues? No. David got hurt in a game just 33 minutes in. He had hurt his knee. He then endured a 6 week recovery.

People wrote online that David always gets hurt and that it is natural that a superstar like David would get hurt in a game. His last injury was his ankle. He was out for a month!

David Beckham is a great soccer player and a big inspiration to youth soccer and young athletes worldwide! He will do even more great things in his sport and increase the interest of soccer in America!
